Full-grown compost

Having gone through both phases, the compost is suitable for the selective growth of the mushroom mycelium.

Under sterile circumstances, the mushroom mycelium is inoculated in the pasteurised substrate using “spawn,” a pure mycelium culture that has been inoculated on grain. The compost then continues to grow under controlled circumstances at a temperature of 24°C for at least 15 days.
